Loyola Hall: Jesuit Spirituality Centre

2012 PROGRAMME

Accommodation

Loyola Hall accommodates 40 in single rooms with en-suite facilities. We invite an offering of £50 per day towards our costs (or, from students or those registered unemployed, £38 per day). We count an 8-day retreat as 8 days even though retreatants stay for 9 nights. Courses and conferences are calculated on a different scale. The on-line retreat programme has a full listing of all events along with suggested offerings.

We have a small, self-catering flat available for quiet time and private retreats at £25 per day. The flat is not usually available for our programmed retreats.

Contact the Retreat Secretary for suggested offerings for spiritual direction, supervision, and retreats in daily life.

Reduced rates may be available for those who find it difficult to meet our suggestions–please enquire when booking.

We try to keep our costs down so that as many people as possible can come on retreat and offer reduced rates to those who would otherwise not be able to come. If you would like to contribute by making a donation above the suggested offering it would subsidise such reductions.

Residential retreats start with the evening meal at 6.45pm on the first day of the retreat. Please aim to arrive between 4.00 and 6.30 if possible. 5-day to 8-day individually guided retreats end with breakfast on the last day given in the programme. The end of shorter events vary–please check when booking.

Accessibility

Loyola Hall’s dining rooms, public spaces, prayer rooms and chapel are all wheelchair-accessible and we have two bedrooms specially fitted for wheelchair access. Our conference rooms and chapel are fitted with an induction-loop for those with hearing aids. Please mention, when booking, if you need the loop, have mobility issues, or special dietary needs.
