New Book: The Wisdom of Jesus

Last night we had a small celebration to mark the publication of a new book by one of the Loyola Hall team, Gerry O’Mahony SJ, entitled The Wisdom of Jesus. As Gerry says in his introduction:
We live in a time when many people who are brought up in Christian families give up on organised religion very soon after leaving school, and become somewhat adrift. Religion leaves them indifferent; religion is irrelevant. Yet at the same time there is still a search for meaning in life.
In this book I have isolated the wisdom of Jesus from Church structures, by concentrating on the instructions he is reported to have given his hearers, as regards the wise way to go about living, so as to live in real peace.
